TCF Financial Corp. is the holding company for TCF National Bank, which engages in the provision of checking, savings, consumer loans, collecting funds, investing funds, managing funds, leasing and mortgage services. It also offers commercial real estate loans, commercial business loans and consumer loans. It operates business through three segments: Consumer Banking, Wholesale Banking and Enterprise Services. The Consumer Banking segment is comprised of all of the company's consumer-facing businesses and includes retail banking, consumer real estate and auto finance. The Wholesale Banking segment is comprised of commercial lending, leasing and equipment and inventory finance. The Enterprise Services is comprised of corporate treasury, which includes the Company's investment and borrowing portfolios and management of capital, debt and market risks; corporate functions such as information technology, risk and credit management, bank operations, finance, investor relations, corporate development, legal and human capital management. The company was founded on April 28, 1987 and is headquartered in Wayzata, MN.
